Terms & Conditions
This document is a legally binding contract between the customer and Harpa Yachts (Snekkjan ehf.) and contain important information.
Please make sure all persons named on the booking form have read and understood these conditions before confirming a booking with Harpa Yachts, on our websites (www.harpayachts.is / www.snekkjan.is) and/or a third party partner associated with us.
Making a booking and/or travelling with Harpa Yachts, will confirm your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The following terms apply to all tours and services provided by Harpa Yachts and/or a third party partners. Please note that additional terms or conditions may apply for specific tours, services and/or products. Some tours or services may require participants to sign specific waivers that contain articles not included herein.
Upon receipt of full payment, a voucher will be sent in the booking process stating departure time and date. It is the service buyer’s responsibility to safeguard the voucher and present it to the relevant service partner as payment for each service rendered. Please make sure that you fill in correctly all the specific fields.
All payment transactions are processed and verified by Valitor (www.valitor.is), using SSL encryption. Harpa Yachts promises to always protect the privacy and confidentiality of our customers personal details and under no circumstances will information be handed to a third party.
Cancellations & Changes
Cancellation made by a customer.
Individual booking for a scheduled day tour:
- Cancellation within 24 hours, no refund.
- Cancellation more than 24 hours, 100% refund.
Group bookings and private tours.
- Cancellation within 7 days, no refund.
- Cancellation more than 7 days and less than 31 days, 50% refund.
- Cancellation more than 31 days, 100% refund.
Cancellations have to be made by email to Harpa Yachts.
Harpa Yachts reserve the right to cancel all tours with short notice if weather conditions are not good and in that case a 100% refund will be issued.
Prices & Payments
Harpa Yachts reserves the right to increase prices already quoted or published in our price lists without notice in the event of currency fluctuation, government taxes, or any other cost increases that are outside our control.
All rates quoted are based on current purchasing prices in Iceland. Any eventual changes in rates will not be made with less than 4 weeks’ notice before scheduled departure.
Discounts for children are subject to the terms of the service and our service partners terms.
All tours have to be paid before the tour is operated.
Departure & Location
All our tours start from Reykjavík’s old harbour. The departure time is indicated on your confirmation/voucher. It is the service buyer’s responsibility to arrive at our tour office in time to check in and to board the boat.
Harpa Yachts reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries or timetables, change or cancel tour dates should the necessity arise, including irregularities due to adverse weather. The tours are run in wild nature and we can never guarantee sightings on a particular tour. The estimated duration of tours are standard times and can change according to sea conditions.
Every tour and/or service carries an inherent risk and the customer must take responsibility for their own safety in accordance with our guidelines. In our tours we offer different activity, like sea angling, clay pigeon shooting and golf. Harpa Yachts does not assume any responsibility for accidents that are caused by its customers that can be traced to their own actions or somebody elses, participation in activities mentioned above or others that may take place on board or are caused by factors outside of human control (Force majeure).
Harpa Yachts accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage of passenger’s property on our tours. When booking with Harpa Yachts or a third party partner the customers agree to these implications and accept responsibility for their own participation during the tour.
Please advise us prior to departure on any special needs or requests as soon as possible so that we can do our best to meet the requests.
